Please could you give me your advice?

I have a few questions for you knowledgeable people.

I am running out of my benefit "HONEY Snap Out of It scrub". I got it last August for my birthday, I absolutely ADORE it and because I only use it once a week I am only just coming to the end of it now. It is the most amazing scrub I have ever used but the price is way too much for me to afford to replace at the moment. I was wondering do you guys know of any scrubs that are cheaper but still give that satisfying scrub feeling. It has those hard granules in it, that's why I only use it once a week but I could do with a dupe. I also adore the honey scent of this.

Myself and my mate bought this Highlighter from No7 two Christmases ago. In fact, we bought THREE of them because we loved them so much. Over the years some of our nearest and dearest have fallen in love with this and we have ended up giving them away and are only left with one between the two of us. I was wondering did any of you try this and if so have you found anything to match it? No7 brought out a highlighter last Christmas but it was nowhere near as lovely.

Have any of you tried these products? Any ideas for dupes?

No7 Stay Perfect Smoothing & Brightening Eye Base

I am going to disagree with the masses, at the risk of being given out to, but Urban Decay Primer Potion doesn't agree with my eyes and, to be honest, it makes my eyes weepy and causes creasing quicker as a result.  I have VERY weepy eyes anyway but this just seems to make it 10 times worse.

As I age I find my shadow creases a lot quicker as well which is just depressing! I discovered this product by Boots brand No7 when I got a voucher for €7.50 off any No7 products.

Being honest I have read a LOT of negative reviews of this product but I am here to add my voice to the chorus of "We love it".

Ok so the packaging is kinda crap and the applicator is pure shite (I use my finger to apply) but the actual product itself works very well for me. The trick with this product is not to put on too much. I mean anything is going to be greasy and crease if you shovel it on. Be VERY sparing with this product!

Because of the pigment in this the product helps to hide veins and dark spots as well as being a lovely base to pack your eye shadows onto. It helps intensify the colour and in my experience it helps prevent the shadows creasing.

This is by far my most favourite eye primer I have ever tried

Have you tried this product? Do you have any other recommendations for primers apart from the Urban Decay ones?

Concealing Rules!

There are two general types of concealer: Liquid concealer and stick/cake concealer.
.
The liquid one is light and, well, liquidy in consistency and usually used for under eye blue/black circles. It usually has a light peach tone to it as peach is opposite to blue on the colour wheel so it helps to conceal the blue under the eyes. This product should be a shade lighter than your skin tone too.  A good example,of a drugstore one of these is Rimmel Match perfect concealer.  I actually use the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. I have a review of this product here.

The stick/cake one is usually creamier in consistency and is used predominately to cover blemishes. I would never use this for the under eyes as it can settle into fine lines and makes them more visible. I use the No7 stick one it is good but I don't use it very much as I don't really get blemishes.
There are also coloured concealers if it is redness you are looking to cover then a green concealer is the best and as I said for bluish areas peach is the best.

General tips for applying concealer:

  • Moisturise!!!! Seriously, especially when using stick/cake concealer. It can be very drying.
  • Use a light hand, don't put too much on initially, you can always add more but it's harder to take away.
  • Use clean fingers (best to use the ring finger as it doesn't put too much pressure on say the delicate under eye area.)to tap it in to the skin rather than rub it in because the heat of your fingers will help it settle better.
  • Make sure that the colour is right for you.
  • Remember blue under eyes require peach tones and redness needs green based tones.

If anyone has any recommendations of concealers or have any opinions on any of the products mentioned please let me know.
